Taiminggong School

Taiminggong Center is a cultural center dedicated to promoting Chinese culture. In order to fulfill our mission, we preserve the traditional spirit of the Chinese martial arts, respecting our martial arts family, creating bonds of friendship with other Wushu schools, and forging our unique and innovative grading system and martial arts certification for students, trainers, and Wushu professors.

Our study program consists of a common basic studying program for all of our students. This plan lasts about 10 months and the student will learn the foundations of Wushu such as basic positions, hand techniques, waist work, coordination, etc.

We provide theoretical classes to familiarize our students with the history and theory of the different traditional and modern wushu systems that we teach in our school. In addition, students will learn the basics of the Chinese language, Traditional Chinese language, and Chinese philosophy.

After graduation and the start of the next scholar year, the students will have the theoretical knowledge to decide which system (routine) to study and will be able to develop their own personalized study program according to their own physical aptitude and personal preferences. In each new year (degree) the students will be able to choose a bare hands/weapon routine (system) to make him/her an expert in a specific traditional wushu style, a modern Wushu athlete, or a general Wushu teacher.

Our training program and teaching methodology fulfills the “academic wushu” or “xueyuan pai” teaching method while preserving the tradition of martial arts and combining a modern and scientific method of teaching.
